Welcome to Eldene Nursery and Primary School

Welcome to Eldene School -  an inclusive 2-form entry nursery and primary school in south-east Swindon. Our school community is made up of classes from Reception to Year 6 and a nursery class for 3 and 4 year olds. One of our junior classes is a ‘Special Resourced Provision’.

We have large, spacious indoor teaching areas and huge, fantastic outside spaces. However, our biggest asset is our amazing children, whose achievements make us proud every day!

Our enthusiastic team of staff, volunteers and governors work together in everything we do, playing our part in ensuring that the children in our care fulfil their potential and enjoy success. We have developed an exciting and engaging curriculum which meets our children’s needs - for those who find learning difficult, as well as those with special gifts or talents. However, we know that nurturing happy and hard-working children is something that we cannot do alone, and value the partnership we share between home and school.

‘Senior leaders and governors are ambitious for the school and committed to raising the achievement of all pupils. They have created a culture of inclusion, respect and care where pupils are valued’ (Ofsted, March 2018)

Our school is warm and welcoming, with a calm and positive atmosphere. We provide excellent care, guidance and support for our pupils.

‘Pupils are safe and nurtured at Eldene. This is because their personal development and welfare is very well supported by adults.’ (Ofsted, March 2018)

Visitors often comment on the warm and friendly atmosphere at Eldene and the positive attitude of the children, parents and staff. If you are interested in finding out more about our school first hand, please contact us to make an appointment and I’d be very pleased to show you around.
