PE At Home

Tuesday 21st July

Regular walking, running, scooting or cycling outside is a great way to stay active and healthy, though it is still important to keep your distance and stay more than two metres away from others.

Try planning your route when you’re thinking of heading out for a jog or cycle. If possible, try to aim for roads, neighbourhoods, and parks that will be quieter, safer, and less congested.

This will give you a chance to explore places around you and develop some fun new routes, such as through local woodland or down a peaceful canal towpath. Picking less busy times will also help you to be more safe and responsible during outdoor exercise.

Monday 20th July

Yippee, the sun is shining! Play skittles in your garden.  Stand nine plastic item in a diamond shape.  Then stand back and see how many you can bowl over with one bowl.  (If you do not have a ball, roll up a sock into a ball shape)  Have fun!

You could also try creating your own game to play in the garden.

Tuesday 14th July

Well the weather was not as good as it looked first thing in the morning and today it looks very cloudy!  For your exercise today, why not play 'Follow my Leader' and make sure you keep a social distance and stay safe.  When you are the leader, do some different moves like giant steps to stretch your muscles.  Have fun!

Did you watch any of the competition videos?

Well the sun in shining again so get outside in the fresh air and get some exercise.  You can play some old fashioned games like 'Hide and Seek' in your garden.  Choose an object, hide it and see who finds it first.  If you have a paddling pool, have some fun in that!  We hope you have a lovely Friday and a good weekend.

Monday 6th July

Good morning and we hope you had a good weekend.  The weather looks a bit better today so get outside and make your own game.

1. Find any objects in your home or outside that you can throw things into. For example a bowl from the kitchen, or a bucket (make sure they are not breakable) Try and find five things. These will be your targets!

2. Number your targets with points.  Make the smaller targets more points as these will be more difficult!

3. Then find a small ball, or five small stones or a rolled up sock and throw this  into your targets,

How many points did you score? Try and improve this!

Have fun.

If you are finding the game easy, move the targets further away from you.
