Starlings Class (SRP)


Welcome to Starlings.  

Our teacher is Miss King. Mrs Webb, Mrs Perry, Mrs Green, Miss Callaghan, Mrs Makepeace and Mrs Collins also support us with our learning.

Rosie, the hamster enjoys being in Starling Class too.  

Term Four

Our topic this  term is 'Land Ahoy' We will be learning about the life of Grace Darling. Our Talk for Writing book is 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch.'

Hook afternoon

We enjoyed making lighthouses and seagulls this afternoon. They look amazing in our new display.

We will be continuing with our 'Towers, Tunnels and Turrets' topic.

Winter Access Day

We had a great day at Foundation Park. We participated in lots of different sports activities. The children made all the grown ups very proud, especially when they won the primary school good team work award.

Sports Morning at Lydiard Park Academy

On 18th January we all attended a sports event at Lydiard Park Academy. We enjoyed playing New Age Kurling and Boccia.

 Target Time

During Target Time, we practise our social skills by sharing games and taking turns.

 We also practise our fine motor skills. This term we have been sewing some colourful glove puppets.

Term Two 

Our topic in Term Two is 'Towers, Tunnels and Turrets.' We will be learning about King Henry VIII and life during the Tudor period.

Term Two homework

During Anti Bullying week we read the book 'Elmer and the Big Bird' and learnt about how Elmer helped the other animals stand up to the bully bird. 

We thought of ways that we could make a noise about bullying.

Tea Party

Thank you to all of you who attended our tea party this week. The children really enjoyed seeing you all in school and were very proud to be able to share their work with you. We are all looking forward to our next event when we can welcome you to our classroom.

Dinosaur Hook Day

 On Friday 22nd September we had a fabulous morning at Abbey Park School taking part in a Panathlon Challenge. We tried lots of different sport activities and had lots of fun. Every child received a certificate and medal and we were very proud to receive the winners trophy.
