We have 4 Emotional Literacy Support Assistants in school- (ELSA)
Mr Davis Mrs Bushell
Mrs Gray Mrs Pickford
Hello, My name is Mrs Gray and I'm an ELSA here at school. I’m afraid I don’t have a magical ability to create and manipulate ice and snow, but I do have time to listen to you and offer you emotional support. Together we can work on how to make you think about your personal circumstances that may be affecting your learning at school. I can tailor games and activities within our session which will help you learn new skills and coping strategies.
My name is Sharon Bushell, and I am one of four ELSAs at Eldene. In a safe nurturing space, we can work through any barriers to learning you may have and help you to find solutions. We might work on emotions, self-esteem, friendship issues, bereavement or can just provide a friendly face and a listening ear. In our sessions we use play, art, crafts, stories, and games to explore our feelings and support you to find coping strategies and gain confidence. We value the wellbeing of every child in Eldene, and I am honoured to be part of the team concerned with the mental health and wellbeing of our pupils.
What is an ELSA? How can they help?
