Our Christmas Dinner on the 12th December.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious Christmas Dinner thanks to our wonderful catering team.
Earlier in December, ten children from years 3, 4, and 5 took part in an exciting building project. Dr Richard Barry of the charity Learning Through Landscapes brought tools and materials to Eldene for a two day workshop to build a bench for the school field. The weather was not sympathetic! But the children bravely toiled on - scraping, measuring, sawing, drilling, digging - until the bench was installed. Why not pop in and see their handiwork? Weather permitting, of course.
In November we invited Grandparents into school to join in our lessons. They read with us, joined in a class activity and then came to assembly. It was lovely to see so many Grandparents. Please come back and visit us again soon.
Children in Need

Mrs Swain, Mrs Boast, Mrs Horne and Mrs Freeman, Teaching Assistant's that retired from Eldene in July, all returned today to plant a beautiful Silver Birch tree that they bought for the staff and pupils of Eldene. Between them they had 80 years of experience and they are greatly missed by all. We thank them for this beautiful gift, hope they continue to enjoy retirement and keep coming back to visit us.
