Internet safety

Our children are growing up in a world full of technology, and alongside the opportunities that this world offers, there are some dangers. Eldene Primary School is committed to keeping your child safe whilst using the internet. Our measures include:

 - teaching every child about internet safety as part of their ICT and PSHCE curriculum, on an annual basis

 - only permitting use of the internet in school when a member of staff is monitoring the computer

 - displaying posters in all computer areas that encourage safe use of the internet

 - filtering out any social networking sites, chatrooms and websites unsuitable for children (this is run by an outside agency that filters websites for every primary school in Swindon)

If you are concerned that your child may be the victim of cyberbullying, or text bullying, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher. It is important to keep as much evidence as possible.
